We are now looking for a dedicated Marine Engineer for Frøy Spirit, who will help ensure efficient and safe operation of the vessel’s machinery and technical systems, while delivering top quality to our customers and contributing to a sustainable future for the aquaculture industry. As a Marine Engineer on Frøy Spirit, you are part of the vessel’s onboard management team and are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the vessel’s machinery and technical systems. You ensure optimal performance, keep the maintenance system up to date, and plan measures that keep the vessel in top condition.
We are looking for someone who enjoys planning yard stays, takes ownership throughout the entire claim period, and ensures that the ROV and other deck equipment are fully operational before, during, and after operations.
About the vessel.
Frøy Spirit is a state-of-the-art service vessel scheduled to arrive in Norway in Q1 2026. The vessel is 23 metres long and has a crew of 6 persons.
Two Danfoss Editron permanent electric motors (2 × 750 kW)
ESS battery system with BMS and associated control cabinets
One Helseth controllable pitch propeller system with fixed nozzle
Kumera reduction gearbox
Two Caterpillar generator sets with SCR exhaust after-treatment system
Qualifications and personal qualities
Holds at least M3, M2 (M2Høy) or higher certificate
Required courses and certificates in accordance with STCW
Structured, responsible, and HSE-conscious
Strong work ethic, technical insight, and service-oriented mindset
Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude
Speaks Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish
Working language is Norwegian
Willing to participate in other deck work when required
